Founded by Ryan Lackey and Miles Taylor, Miscellany is a bi-annual journal dedicated to the minor, the inconsequential, and all sorts of gaps and lags. We believe that good writing speaks to readers more than feigned relevance. The answer to a question like why does this matter? should be because it’s interesting.

 

We love pieces that feel vital more than pieces we’re told are necessary. We publish writing sent to friends after midnight: oddly shaped and otherwise languishing in the desks of talented writers.
